Gelato is an Italian variant of ice cream.

It is made with some of the same ingredients as ice cream such as milk, sugar, flavorings such as fruit and nuts, but it contains no eggs.

Because of the process used to make Gelato, it has less air blended in and is therefore more dense like the higher quality ice creams.
